Announced during the April 2022 General Conference, the Modesto, ca temple will be the 10th temple in the state of California, and one of the 282 temples announced, under construction, or in operation (as of April 2022).

Church Newsroom, October 2022:
The Modesto California Temple will be built on a 17.63-acre site adjacent to an existing meetinghouse located at 4300 Dale Rd., Modesto, California. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 30,000 square feet.
